I live in SF. The MoMA is closed. Their gift shop is open though. Um, I live in SoMa. It's perfectly safe. Union Square is crowded and touristy as hell, full of the same damn stores every other place in the country has (Macy's! Tiffany! Cheesecake Factory! Victoria's Secret!). [/quote]
