I'm comparing this to the postwar construction in close-in suburbs of Chicago, if anyone is familiar with places like Niles, Skokie, and parts of Glenview.  By and large these houses/neighborhoods are still now very tidy, with sidewalks and many people still maintaining mid century style landscaping.
I miss this kind of house and would like to live in one.  I like ranches and don't want more than 1200-1400 square feet or so.  Where can I find a proper mid-century modern house around here?  Are we just a little too far from Frank Lloyd Wright?[/quote]
