I have an older child that went through on the advanced track, and will eventually top out on the math. There's a level of maturity needed for some of the more advanced level math classes that not all kids have when they hit 8th or 9th grade, and that makes it MUCH more difficult for them to be successful in those classes. The learning pace does not always equal the finished product. 5th grade is very young.[/quote]
