Well, for younger kids, we have friends who have kids at Mater Amoris - their situation was much like OPs and the top choice schools didn't work out. They have raved about Mater Amoris and put the second child at MA without applying to any of the "Bigs" they applied to for the first. I don't have firsthand experience with the school, but their kids have thrived there and given the commute they make to get there, I think it speaks well of the school. I would have said the same of Friends Community, but they have become very popular and are unlikely to have openings now unless it is for a kind of random non-entry grade I guess. Again, this all depends on the age of the child and location of the OP, but there are definitely some really good schools that don't get a high volume of posts on this forum. I'm sure other people on here know of others that are specific to the area the OP lives in and that might be good fits for OP's child. I think there was a thread on hidden gems once that might be worth a look too. [/quote]
