Parent referred in 3rd. In first round. No new test scores. Just work samples, and questionnaire. Straight 4's in 4-6 AAP.  I assume his GBRS was higher. Incidentally, he was diagnosed with ADHD in mid 4th.

Just had a conversation with his 6th grade teacher about what happened. She she was appalled that he had been passed over.  She was frustrated that in his case, they did not recognize a well known fact in the gifted education community, that it is not uncommon for gifted students to also have ADHD and/or organizational issues.[/quote]
