I'm guessing the parents with kids to young to stand alone at the busstop don't feel like standing in a terrential downpour. I drive everyday---mainly because my kids sleep until 8am or 8:15 (no matter how early they go to bed) and our bus comes at 8:19. We are 0.65 miles from the school and it is a 5 min drive--10 min walk. School time is 9am--by not taking the bus we get an extra 30 min in which they would be just sitting in a line not being able to talk in our school's multipurpose room.
Us too. We would rather have a relaxing morning and drive than the alternative. Why do you care OP? If you walk, none of this affects you. Honestly, I thouht that this was going to be a rant by a regular driver about how the people who only drive on rainy days don't follow the kiss and ride rules, drop of in the wrong spot, don't let the busses through and cut in and out of line. That would have justified making a post over this. BtW, shput out to our principal. On nasty days like this he sends the teachers inside and he runs the kiss and ride line. Goes for the frigid days too. Very classy boss.
