OP, sometimes I feel the same way, but sociopath seems like too strong a word. I very rarely, maybe never feel guilt, but I am also a pretty honest person so maybe there is no reason to feel guilt. But, so many people feel guilt or responsiblity for things that are not their fault, for example, hitting someone with your car that pulled in front of you. I wouldn' feel badly about, it wasn't my fault, don't really undertand why others do and I see it as a sign of weakness. I can also be very charming and sometimes feel it is a game or challenge to get someone to like me when I really could care less about them. It isn't that I want to hurt their feelings, it is satisfying to get people to like the person I presented. I am an excellent liar, but don't lie for the fun of it. There are a very few people that mean something to me in my life (maybe 5, one being my child), anyone else could die and I would not be phased. More than likely I'd be annoyed that I have to go to a funeral (for like a neighbor or friend) or deal with the arrangments (like if it was my father). Odd thing though is, I am a nice person. I help old people put groceries in the car, would return money if given too much change, never park in a handicap spot. But I could kill someone that I thought deserved it, get away with it, and not feel any remorse. I feel like Dexter.
