For all medical treatments we should do the cost benefit analysis to ask whether the side effects are less harmful than the symptoms being treated. We should always be looking for new medicines and treatments with better efficacy and fewer/less severe side effects. But nothing associated with what you call "allopathic" medicines changes the fact that there is no evidence that homeopathic remedies actually work, and, at a more basic level, principles of homeopathy would, if true, violate laws of physics and chemistry. There's a lot of psychology behind why people would keep buying homeopathic remedies, but the industry that produces them knows they're selling nothing more than distilled water. [/quote]
