op here. I got my period today after a 58 day cycle. No idea if I actually ovulated, but this is the second period I have gotten on my own (no prgesterone) while on metformin. I have an appt at SGF next thursday, so hopefully they will have some sort of recommendations for next steps. Could i really have had 2 periods in the last 3 months with no ovulation? I have one DD who is 4 and was able to get pregnant on just metformin with her
You can absolutely be menstruating but not ovulating, especially if your periods are irregular. I know it's frustrating to realize you're not ovulating (especially if you assumed you were), but ovulation can be one of the easier things to "fix." Worst case scenario, you'll end up with injectable meds. It's not ideal or especially cheap, but it's so much better than having unexplained infertility. Good luck.
