Parent of two recruited athletes here. If you are more nervous than your D about this situation, then you need to take a step back and realize it is her problem, not yours. If that is not the case, then it is time for you and the D to have a big meeting. Playing a sport is a big commitment at a tough academic school. If your D is showing signs of apathy, then it is a far better time to re-evaluate the college/sport choice than to get the acceptance, go to first semester and be miserable with the school/sport and want to transfer. It is my experience that recruited athletes often have buyer's remorse as they see classmates getting into schools where there is no coach/team involved. Make sure that communication lines are open. You will be glad that you did. [/quote]
