Love the school and had relatives we went there but we are not catholic, we are Protestant.
It's true that non-Catholics are a minority at Prep. It is not true that the great majority of Prep families are actively practicing (attending mass at least once a week). To the contrary, Prep is considered "catholic lite" by some more devout Catholics. Holton is the only single gender non-Catholic high school in MoCo, so every private boys school boy interacts with girls from the Catholic girls schools a lot. Plenty of non-Catholics at those schools too.
I'm afraid we are just going to have to disagree on the facts. Our experience as a Prep family is that the great majority of our son's friends families at Prep are practicing Catholics. We certainly see a lot of them at Mass. Are there other Catholic schools where there are a greater percentage of practicing Catholics? I would be curious as to which schools these are. We don't have daughters, so we wouldn't know what the current non-Catholic percentages are at Stone Ridge or Holy Cross or Holy Child or Visi. But I would be surprised if it's more than 5%. As to the presence of boys from other schools at the Catholic girls schools, our sons haven't reported the presence of Landon or St Albans boys at the events they attend. Why are people on this forum so intent on inflating the numbers of non-Catholics at Prep or Gonzaga or the girls schools?
