There are a few Jewish kids blatantly recruited to Georgetown Prep for athletics. YES its a Catholic school but its not nearly as religious as the previous previous poster points it out to be. He seems to think Prep is a school from the 1960's.
Prep is a school owned and controlled by a Catholic religious order. The overwhelming majority of its alumni and students and faculty are Catholics, with Irish Catholics being the dominant group. I don't know who they are recruiting for athletics. But non-Catholics ought to go into this with their eyes open.
Your advice might be valid for the well to do non-Catholics, but, for the poor, Catholic schools are often the only option to failing public schools. Prep is in an affluent area, but Catholic schools in poor areas are often well over 50% non-Catholic. If you are poor and white or Asian don't expect schools like Sidwell, Holton, NCS, Maret or GDS to have any interest in you.
