One comment in the article said her parents didn't renew her green card on purpose (not sure if that's true). She was sent to Russia a week after her 15 birthday. She said to fly solo internationally, one must be 15 and above. She is not a US citizen even though her mom is. She can't come back to the US after next March when she turns 18.
