I am really into kids playing outside and off-screen.  My boys are REALLY into Legos.  The older one wants the $400 Death Star for Xmas and I'd much rather pay for something like that than a game console.  He has been building sets for 14+ age for quite some time.

I feel game consoles are definitely in our future, but I might as well hold off until they are older.  My boys are very into sports too--so I figure when they are older and in travel sports, etc. there won't be much time leftover to play and they will be more rational (hopefully:)) to time management with them.

My kids definitely are the type that if they were around it would be a constant struggle to get them off of them...and lots of whining to play them.
