MREs are actually designed to be calorie-dense and feeling to provide sustenance to soldiers in the fild, so yeah...not a diet food. Agree with PP who recommended mostly clean food. After DH gave up on Nutrisystem he continued to struggle with fad diets, etc. Two months ago he started eating as clean as possible without going to extremes (so some packaged food) and has lost about fifteen lbs without even exercising. Even if the dieter in the original post (I think it was OPs dad) eats grilled chicken and microwaved frozen vegetables every night they'll prob still see good results without the nasty Nutrisystem "food."[/quote]
