We have been trying to get life insurance for my DH for like a year now with this one company. He has gone in for multiple dr. appts., then we wait forever, then the insurance company says the need more info from the doc, then we wait forever, etc etc etc. Finally, the agent literally emailed him, "I am sorry. To be honest, in my experience, it has never taken this long. Have you looked at brokers?" DH immediately decided to pull the plug on this company and try elsewhere. We have NO IDEA why this is so problematic for him. He is 41, exercises daily, does not drink or smoke, is in good shape. Caucasian. The only thing is he was born with mild CP which is not noticeable to the casual observer, but the fingers in his left hand just don't have the greatest of dexterity like if he's trying to handle something little, like a handful of coins maybe, something like that, his fingers may handle them a bit more awkwardly or slowly than you or I would. And the only other thing is he takes Zoloft for depression/anxiety, but hey, don't we all these days? All I know is it makes him a nicer person to live with!!! So, he should NOT stop taking that!! So two questions: 1) Could either or both of these be the reason for the extremely long review time? 2) Can anyone recommend a good insurance broker for us to contact now that he has given up on this one company? Thank you in advance.
