Okay, Ted Cruz has told us the horror story of Obamacare -- tripling insurance rates, people losing their insurance, people losing jobs, etc.  He bases this assurances on what -- ideology and anecdotes.  Maybe the facts will bear him out when it's implemented and there are actual statistics to look at.  In that case we can decide either to try to fix it or to trash it and start over.  But to declare defeat in advance hardly seems like the path that the Exceptional America so beloved by the right is supposed to take.

For decades virtually everyone in both parties said we needed reform.  The Dems wanted single payer, the Reps wanted to stick with private insurance companies.  Obama chose the Republican path.  If that's too socialist for the tea party, where do they want to go?[/quote]
