My mom's side of the family is a little weird with things. Her sister died about 13 years ago, and as older sisters go, she still likes to play jokes on my mom. My mom will be looking for something and she'll know where it is and when she goes to get it, it won't be there. Then she'll say "OK (sister's name), I need X. Please put it back" and then my mom will find it somewhere. I was home visiting one time and my mom was in a panic because she couldn't find my grandmother's pouch that had her rosary beads and a special coin from her sister. She was pretty close to hysterics and I said, I'm pretty sure last time I was home it was in the top drawer in my old bedroom. Mom and Dad go to check, can't find it. Mom does the "Ok sister. What did you do with it?" I say, let me go check, I know I saw it there. Sure enough, it is where my parents had just looked. When my grandfather passed away (long before I was born) a picture of him fell off the bedside table and landed on the phone about 10 min before my mom got the call that he had passed. My grandmother passed away of old age in our home (she lived in an in-law apartment). The day before she passed, she was mostly in an incoherent stage and was pretty out of it. We were in her room getting ready to say our goodbyes and she started crying and saying "David is here, David is here". We all thought she meant her son who is named after his dad. Then she started saying "she's so beautiful, she's so beautiful. I've missed you so much." And my mom started asking her who and my grandmother clear as day says "Daughter (the one who had passed away 13 years ago). Oh she's so beautiful. " So at this point we are realizing that when she said David is here, she probably met her husband. My grandmother, at this point, is crying tears of joy and saying her parents names. Then she looked around the room said "I love you all so much" and closed her eyes. She never opened her eyes or said another word again and 24 hours later her heart stopped. Oh, another story from my mom's side. Her sister was involved in a horrible car accident when she was a teenager. She was actually pronounced dead at the scene. She apparently had an out of body experience where she saw and heard the paramedics working on her body while she watched from above.
