So if she was rushing, it would have been ok?
Rushing wouldn't excuse her, but at least her bad behavior would be understandable if she was rushing. Instead, she seems like she was being inconsiderate for no reason at all.
I'm the PP who said I like to assume a good reason. I don't cut in line myself just because I am late but you can imagine good scenarios - rushing to see a sick child, rushing to see a lover you haven't seen in a year, rushing to deposit the spy papers in the trashcan before your pick-up operative comes by. Have fun with it. You'll enjoy life more.
I try to look at it this way too. She must have been rushing, so I feel bad that she was so rushed and so harried. (even if she apparently looked like she was walking) Because, if I do things like that, it's only b/c there is a very good reason and I have a big problem going on that I have to attend to, be it rushing to get to work on time, rushing to get my DD somewhere, etc. Do, I just assume everyone is doing their best and it was for a reason. Shrug. No harm no foul on trying to get thru the Metro system. That place is nutty and it's every (wo)man for herself!
