Missouri was a slave state fyi.  Research the Missouri Compromise.  From Wikipedia "...Missouri Compromise[edit]

The north really doesn't have bbq.

Maybe do traditionally bbq dishes, and either frou frou bbq (veggies, fish, etc) OR beach bbq (clams, lobster, etc).

Really, "north" should not be included in the same sentence as bbq, let alone in a contest with the south :)[/quote]
