Hmmmm. It's not a child struggling academically and/or socially/behaviorally, and the school raising the appropriate red flags? If my child is miserable and feels crummy all the time mainly because the work is beyond him/her, why would I want him/her to stay? It's not about the parents, it's about what's best for the kids -- trite but some people seem to resist leaving a school because of what it means for their social life/expectations/feelings of prestige.[/quote]
