It is absolutely a leg up. You have to screw up royally not to get in. The Beauvoir admissions director told me that that they try really hard to accomodate beauvoir kids. For instance, if a child does not do well in their test, rather than dismissing that child outright they ask the school for any school work that they can provide to support the child's application. Bear in mind though, that this applies to kids that beauvoir has already given the go-ahead to apply. There are some kids that are advised not to apply because Beauvoir already knows that they are unlikely to make the cut. [/quote]
