No, OP just got out of the Tardis from 1950.

OP, there are many possible reasons for him swallowing a lot including but not limited to allergies, overactive saliva glands, PP's suggested something stuck in his throat, illness (like a cold).  In other words, it may or may not have anything to do with you.  So, don't read anything into it and let him know that you are interested.  At work, strike up a conversation and say you're on your way to the break room for a cup of coffee and would he like to walk with you.  He should understand and hopefully suggest something longer.[/quote]
