However, when I saw the test the dermatologists requested, I noticed several other related hair loss tests missing that should be checked, that neither doctor checked. Now I am feeling that I am not going to the right doctor to get all the tests I need done at one time! I am spending too much time researching on my own - and I want to ensure I get ALL the right tests run before I accept it is a hereditary condition with no cure. I feel it might be hormonal related. I also still break out and have several blackheads that have never gone away. My menstrual cycle lasts 8-9 days.

I need advice on the best type of doctor to see (endocrinologist?), or even better ... a doctor recommendation in the NVA area. BTW - I haven't received the results back yet from the dermatologist.[/quote]
