[/quote] Bridge and tunnel crowd is a derogatory term for people like those you see on Jersey Shore who come to Manhattan on weekends to party and make trouble. They are regarded as tacky interlopers who pretend they are from NYC but really don't have the money/style/class to live there. It used to refer to people from other boroughs as well as those from NJ and Long Island -- think Saturday Night Fever. However, with Brooklyn and Queens becoming more desirable places to live, its residents are no longer seen as horribly declasse.[/quote]
