My son is 2 and he has attended Little Stars Daycare since he was 9 mo, a home care, in the 16th st. NW area near Carter Barron Park. I can't say enough about how awesome this daycare is and how fantastic it's been for us thus far. Little Stars provides a full Spanish immersion program and my little guy speaks both English and Spanish perfectly. There are wonderful, warm and loving providers there and the children truly thrive in this environment. The home care is ran by Marilyn Gutierrez and three other providers. There is a separate infant room and the toddlers have a large playroom on the lower level. There is a backyard where the children can play safely and Marilyn provides lots of toys. There are scheduled field trips to the pumpkin patch, fire stations, zoo, just to name a few and a weekly visit to the library for story time. Little Stars also does a great job of creating a community with the parents and hosting holiday events for the families. It is a diverse and wonderful environment. Here's the good news: Little Stars is expanding and opening a beautiful little center on Colorado and 14th St, NW this fall. If you are interested in a spanish program, warm loving environment, and a truly caring provider with years of experience, I would recommend you contact Marilyn at 202-441-6227.
