+1 everything noted above.  If you want a "small-town" feel in the middle of a metropolitan area, GP is as close as you get.  Hard to find a house there, and you will hear the train that goes through.  They have a 4th of July parade, a Halloween ghost walk, the kids all know each other.  Everyone is at the pool.  It's a really, really great neighborhood.  KP is also lovely, and the school is good as well.

GPES is a very good school.  The teachers are caring.  The class sizes can be large, but amazingly the kids are still alright.  The new school is lovely, and there are lots of great traditions.    [/quote]
