A few ideas - my shampoos used to require only 5 or 10 mins on, so I'd get in and do everything else - and then rinse at the bitter end of the shower. Could you try a bath? Put it on at the beginning and luxuriate for 15 mins - final idea - turn on shower - stick head under and get it wet - put on shampoo and then come back and shower 15 mins later.
I almost feel like you didn't read my post barely at all. I have a shower stall, not a bathtub, so no, I can't take a bath. Normally, I get in the shower, wash my hair, put the conditioner on, and let the conditioner "sit" while I wash my body. So I could put the shampoo on and let THAT sit while I wash my body, but that won't take me even five minutes, let alone 15-20. And as I said in my OP, I am concerned about creating a huge mess on the floor by sticking my head into the shower stall under the spray to wet my head, plus that still doesn't address having water (and then shampoo) dripping down all over. Ugh, I want to cry.
This snotty response make me think you just aren't the type of person I would like to try and help. Good luck.
