I work in an account management position where I am constantly bringing new clients on board. I brought a new client on board at the end of last week and it turns out that this person does not have all of their marbles. They have emailed me over 100 times since the end of last week, sometimes sending me up to one email per minute. The emails are very offensive...they include name calling, curse words, comments about sexual orientation, etc. The emails are in general very toxic. Every day I come in to work to multiple offensive emails and the emails continue throughout the day. I have talked to this person on the phone several times and they do not behave this way on the phone. The phone conversations are civil. Here are some excerpts from the emails that I am receiving: "I have to sell and pay off over a million worth because a group of ass wholes gay men they are all gay men attacked me because I look okay in a gown and they stole my gowns he married me and he was gay I was a patsy we were married for only six months he would not touch me he prefers whores because he is gay and would not love a wife" "I think someone told him to rape me and take over my sales and you to be a bitch to me and give me a smart ass brush off this is their MO for theft it does not work get rich quick with six months to life in jail" "It is summer time and his illegal lawyers and trying to leach a vacation out of my blood they have leached for the last 15 years leaving me with just about nothing while they play and take much life vermin. " How would you handle this situation if you were receiving these offenisive emails at work from a new client?
