Now you are in debt from school and still making crap.   It just sounds like you have some seriously unrealistic expectations about what you "deserve".  What is  your dead end field?  Most fields which are "dead end" do have a chance for growth if you get more education.  Can you go to school in a field similar to what you are doing now?  Then, your 25 years of experience will hopefully count towards a new job after graduation.
