OP, please relax. And please assume this job is filled, or that it sux, or that there are 1000 other jobs that you could do and be happy, and go work on getting them. Serioiusly. Because it's true. But only job search/network a few hours a day or else you will go insane. Remember to keep up your exercise routine when you are job hunting, or else you will just be a stress case the whole time.
OP here and while your sanity-filled post is true, it's easier said than done! I'm basically living as a SAHM and while staying with my dc is nice and it certainly is easier on me than I'm sure it is on a lot of people, (our financial strain is not that bad right now as long as we keep things tight) I just feel so sad. Also, this job search has been... awful! There are very, very few jobs available in my particular field that I'm qualified for. It's like I'm sending my resume out into the abyss and nothing ever happens! Having interaction with another human being and sending my stuff to them is such a dramatic improvement! If I can just get one or two interviews, I feel like it will give me some energy and keep me going, you know? Ok, I feel better now that I wrote that. Vent over.
