OP here. No, I'm not a troll. I guess I've lived in PG too long and have gotten paranoid. I guess when I begin to think the nice people on DCUM are segregating us I should step away from the computer and breathe the air outside in my beautiful, large PG yard. It is good to hear the reason is instead because people are interested in building substantial, useful conversations about PG.
Actually, I was on the original thread where a PG resident actually suggested it. She then wrote a website request to the moderator to ask for a PG Schools forum. So, no, this is not about segregating the PG people. (I'm a PG resident.) The issue was that a PG resident was searching for information about PG schools, and doing a regular search on the MD schools threads yields a lot of the same old snarky "don't live in PG' responses. The idea was that instead of having to sort through all of that to find useful information, we'd be able to just go to the PG Schools section and scroll down the titles to find information. I still think it will take time to build a resource of information, because there aren't as many (or doesn't appear to be) PG people on here. But it's possible there are more PG people who visit here than it seems on the surface but that they generally don't post about schools because of the flood of nasty responses they get.
