Disagree.  As mom says, if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all.  No one HAS to respond to "extreme boosterism."  Civility would dictate that one simply tunes it out and follows another thread or leaves DCUM altogether.  You describe it as an involuntary response and that's bunk; people choose to be nasty. The effluvia?  No one HAS to turn every single thread into a YY debate and no one has to start a thread titled "why does everyone hate me?  I PrOMiSE I'm nice!"  Yet...

My mom took it a step further, "If you don't have anything to say that is not entirely motivated by your own self-interests, say it once if you must, and then shut up child." Civility would actually entail the perspective that the world does not revolve around ones self.  I've seen a number of your YY brethren tell you to can it, but it seems you apparently cannot help yourself.  So please, for the love of god, if you don't want to be hated, STOP![/quote]
