I'm in DC area and just can't bear more maternity stuff from Gap and Old Navy. It seems like the stuff I see online is either dowdy or expensive. I bought the one cute thing I liked at Boden and it was great but I wasn't into anything else they had. Ann Taylor Loft had some duds and some winners and I have no idea how true to size they run. These days it seems like vanity sizing has made it so that the size on the garment bears no relation either to expected size or even the stated size on the package. And maternity sizing throws this off even more. For example, I'm a size 6/8 but in gap's maternity clothes I have to buy 2/4. I'll be 20 weeks, still in normal clothes with a bella band, but it's time to make the switch to some decent maternity clothes. I want comfortable, natural fibers, and decent style. No freaking bows or ribbons, thanks, I'm pregnant not six! Gah. How do you guys do it? Last time I was pregnant in the summer and just wore the same 10 gap dresses all summer long. This year, all of gap / old navy's dresses look shlumpy to me. Would like some of the Loft stuff - maybe - but feel like I want to see it on. Where do you try on here in town? And where do you buy online? How faithful are sizes?
