[/quote] [b]a judge is not going to want a 15-20 hr./week clerk, those are/can be demanding positions unless you're in a state court with a mediocre judge and not a lot of action[/b].[/quote] ? wow. yes, because all state court judges are mediocre. and having clerked in a state court, I can tell you we saw a ton of "action" - from murder trials to contract disputes. wouldnt trade the experience for the world. don't know about a part time schedule though. my official hrs were 37.5 a week, but if we had a jury out, motions ran long, whatever, id certainly be expected to stay late and leave only when my judge left.
