We applied to both Haynes and YY at the time my child was entering PK. If we had received the call from Haynes, DC would be at Haynes. We support his Mandarin education as much as we support all of DCs educational needs, but we are not gung-ho about Mandarin. DC is receiving a good Mandarin education at YY despite his family's lack of ability to provide support beyond the school resources and tutor. On the upside, the family has planned to take minimumly two trips to China before DC reaches the eighth grade. Two trips to China prior to life at YY were not on the family's bucket list of travel locations.[/quote]
