I feel like he is becoming who he is, and the best thing we can do is just support that.  There's no longer the intense anxiety to try to get him to behave as a normal 8 yo would, because I know that isn't in his capability. But he is polite, kind, helpful, and many other good things, and that is enough.[/quote]
