Safety wise car break-ins are not uncommon so don't leave stuff in your car and lock your car always.  it's not a break-in every week but once every few years your block may be hit.  I monitor the crime reports and house break-ins aren't common(car break ins are more common)  but it does happen.  There is no place that is crime free, even Bethesda so the usual advice of lock up, don't advertise what you have, don't be in an isolated spot parking lot etc) with no one else around, have lighting on side of house,porch etc, be aware of your surroundings would all apply.[/quote]
