I didn't expect to be, it's just kindergarten so I didn't really even think much of it until I saw the report card.  She got all 2's even though she is reading quite well for K- I think DRA level 7.  Can easily do addition and subtraction up to 20 (math is her favorite subject), can easily tell you all about what they have learned about Rosa Parks, MLK, and Abe Lincoln.

I don't think she's a genius but certainly doing above average across the board with the exception of handwriting.  Her spacing between words is not enough.

But still only 2s???

That said her teacher has expressed concern with me about behavioral issues but that really should not effect the grades as far of her knowledge of subjects goes right?

I would have been very happy with all 3s and honestly I've heard the same that teachers never give out 4s or Os the 1st report card, but 2s when she clearly has a good understanding of the subjects???  
Is there anything that one can do about this or a way to challenge it?
