I'm surprised anyone is saying that [b]b/c this poster's child isn't in the pool automatically[/b]. My child had a slightly higher NNAT and similar CogAT, pretty much all O's (last year's report card) and we didn't refer. In fact, when I've asked the AART about whether I should have or whether I should this year, she gives a vague answer like "let's give ___ another year and see." The impression I have is that AART thinks DC is fine at the base school... AART is certainly not encouraging me to parent refer.
