Everyone knows Dr. Heitin and rather than battle her on these things, it's better to just accept things and get through the IEP. Anyway, I do realize not everyone has the same experience and may not need what Dr. Heitin brings. We've benefitted greatly from her assistance and I no longer dread IEP meetings. I don't think the staff do either. They know they have to be on their A game but I think, in the end, that makes everyone better. Good luck.
I think she has developed a good working relationship with a few Pyramids and has developed a collaborative atmosphere. I think she has basically rolled over a several more. However, there is one or two (we are in one) where they push back harder and it is much more combative than if she were not there. If you are considering using her, find out if you are in a pyramid where she has had more trouble than usual.
