He was at a specialist for an unrelated thing on Tuesday, and we asked the doctor to look in his ears and at his nose because he'd been acting sick.  He said there wasn't any sign of infection, so I don't think there would be now (although I will check again on Monday if this continues).

We have given him ibuprofen in the past but got to the point where we were giving it every day, and it didn't seem like he was doing any better, so we stopped.  If he had a fever, I would definitely give it, but it doesn't seem to make him any more comfortable because it doesn't make his nose any clearer.

This is probably his first "real" cold, so it might just be that he's not sure what's happening and is upset.  It's just odd that his nose doesn't seem that overtly stuffy, but then he'll start drooling and snorting especially around bedtime.  I guess he can forget about it when he's distracted with play.  With all the drooling, we wondered if it was teething, but he's definitely congested, and he just got his fourth upper tooth and is showing no immediate signs of other ones.

Ugh -- I hope this ends soon!  We're all exhausted from his poor sleep on a good night, and this is torture![/quote]
