I’m a tech entrepreneur who took VC , built a company and then sold it 2 years ago.

I’m going to hard agree with the above.  Don’t build out every last feature and then try to sell it.  You can spend weeks or months or years going down a rabbit hole. Build a working prototype (or even a non working prototype) test it with potential customers, and then iterate from there.  It can be as simple as a wireframe.    The other term for this is an MVP (minimum viable product).
