Towards the end of the document it shows a mapping of MAP scores to MCAP scores.  And based on my understanding, it shows a 279 MAP score  mapping as above/out of the range of the MCAP Math 7 and Math 8 tests.  For the Algebra I MCAP, it translates to a 789.

and looks like it's from around 2021-2022 as well, it looks like a 789 is toward the lower end of a 4/Distinguished Learner.  And in other posts on here, posters mention how only fifteen percent of students get a 4 on their MCAP.  Looking at mdreportcard, it looks like fiver percent or less of students got a 4 on the Algebra I MCAP in 2025.  And it looks the same for 2022.
