Butterfly Med Spa on Shady Grove - I have East Asian skin. I recently got picosure laser to remove dark spots with very good results. The Doctor is Asian and knows Asian skin.
OP here. Do they just have the one doctor? I did look at their website, and it does look promising. Where was the spot on your face? How much was it? How many times did you have to go back? What was the recovery like? TIA
I met with a male doctor and I don't know if there was another one. He was very knowledgeable and told me what to expect when it came to pain and down time. I had one large spot on one of my cheeks, and several smaller spots all over my face. I'm of southern Chinese descent, woman in my upper 40's. I have worn sunscreen daily since I was 20, and hide from the sun as much as possible. The dark spots started appearing in my late 20s, but they were easy to cover up. However they got worse over the past 5 years and I was ready to get rid of them about a year ago. If anything, you can schedule a free consultation. I was very worried about down time (my job is fully in office), so he did a free trial run with the laser on one small spot to see how my skin would react to the treatment. That calmed my fears. In the consultation, he will tell you what to expect (for me, R1, R2 6 weeks later, and then R3 2 months after that). He got rid of my dark spots and textured skin - $1500 for 3 rounds, unlimited spots on your face (seen and unseen by the naked eye). The first round was the most significant. For R1, I went into work in the morning, and had my laser treatment midday Thursday. I took off Friday and stayed home all weekend, and was able to go out in public by Monday (with heavy makeup). Round 2 was about half of the spots, and Round 3 was just light touch up. In my opinion, if there is down time, you might as well laser off everything. It was well worth it.
