Hmm… good question ^^. If you flunk a math class and in turn, don’t have enough math credits to graduate, is the student receiving a fake diploma?
They have enough math credits to graduate, they took and got an A in Algebra 1 in MS. You only need 3 math credits to graduate, you need 4 math credits for the advanced diploma. At TJ, you need Calc to earn the TJ Diploma. Students at TJ could fail two math classes and have the credits to graduate. I have no idea why a student would want to be at TJ if they couldn’t pass the math classes but I guess it happens. The article said that this was the first year the kids had to appeal to walk but that it has happened in the past. I can’t imagine that these students got into good colleges with F’s on their transcripts.
