See FERPA, which applies to any school that accepts federal money. That may or not apply to private schools: IME some private schools take federal funding - scholarship money, private placement, environmental $, pandemic $, etc. An educational record is basically anything that has your kid’s name in or on it. It’s very easy to record meetings these days: there are many apps that record , transcribe and summarize. JUst write a letter and ask the school for a copy of the recording. [/quote]
