It's very 90s fabulous. I wouldn't have gone with that level of leaning into what an architectural custom-built gem it is in the description. It's a dated house. No one cares that back in 1999 the people tried really hard. No useable yard and not great outdoor space. Very choppy first floor and hard to even tell what's going on. The kitchen looks really cramped.
I remember architecture designs in the 1990s very well. This would have been an unusual house back then, this is not what most people were designing for high end custom build. I do recognize a bit of this and that in the styles used, but together in this house? This design is extremely unique. The owners spent a great deal of money on an odd floor plan and unusual styles. I do appreciate the high quality brick front door focal area as that is truly lovely and interesting and well done, but everything else is either dated, didn't age well, or idiosyncratic. I've a feeling the owners constantly overrode any architects they worked with. I looked at the photos before the floor plan and when I finally found where the kitchen was, it made me realize how massive the house is. And good golly, what an odd, even terrible, floor plan. I wonder what this will ultimately sell for.
