On the spigot along our driveway, we have a heavy wire "basket" that hangs over the spigot. We have one of those "bullet" hoses that are really easy to curl up inside of it. I love it.

In our backyard, we have the traditional style hose on one of those hose reels with the handle on the side that you "crank" to wind-up the hose. It's been fine, but we also have it along the fence in one of the garden beds so we don't have to reel out as much hose when we use it. The hose connected to the spigot is set up to run under a path to the fence and then along the fence to the hose reel. We've tried the "bucket" style where you have to wind the hose up into a bucket or box but found them horribly user-unfriendly and a PIA. The standing reel is far better and I think works well if you have it positioned in a way that you are always pulling the hose out straight for at least a bit before turning/curving.[/quote]
