I believe there are 8 early release days planned: 4 are the usual end of quarter two-hour early release days.

The other 4 are supposed be the Wednesday 3-hour release days. I’ve heard that administrators are asking them to be two-hour releases instead of three and that there is no childcare offered. It would cut down on the confusion about whether it’s a two-hour or three-hour release. And staff could actually all meet rather than having to pull IAs and specialists to provide childcare. Can you elaborate on the comment, "There is no childcare offered"? Are you referring to SACC?[/quote]

I think they're referring to the kids that weren't in SACC but needed supervision for those 3 hours and then they get dismissed at the regular school end time. One of my kids had to use that option because the alternative was leaving them home alone for that time. They've been having 2 sets of bus runs on those days.[/quote]
